Troy Brady, PhD, CLP

Short Bio

Troy Brady, PhD, Director of Commercialization, joined IPX in 2012. He oversees and assists the IPX licensing team to move Auburn innovations towards the market. He also serves as an advocate for faculty and student education in entrepreneurship, intellectual property, and the role these jointly play in both the university's mission and the public's benefit. He promotes academic technology transfer activities across campus, works to identify and engage development partners, and connects faculty and stakeholders with the resources they need to be successful in their efforts to increase the impact of their innovations.

Troy received his doctoral degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Iowa State University and trained both as a Postdoctoral Researcher of Retrovirology and Gene Therapy and as a Fellow and Senior Fellow in Technology Transfer at the University of Pennsylvania.  He is a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) and Patent Agent.
