Melanie Luster

Short Bio

Melanie Luster, government compliance administrator, joined IPX in August 2017. She holds a bachelor of science degree in public policy and justice with a concentration in legal studies from Auburn University at Montgomery and an associate in science from Southern Union State Community College. Through her courses at Auburn University at Montgomery, she became an ABA-certificated paralegal. Melanie acts as Auburn University’s Bayh-Dole Act subject matter expert and the University’s iEdison account administrator. 

The focus of her position is to oversee federal and non-federal IP-related reporting obligations and manage adherence to all regulatory and sponsor guidelines throughout the life of Auburn’s inventions resulting from sponsored research while supporting the university’s translation of intellectual property for the benefit of the public.
